These were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977. Its like a message in a bottle in the sea, metaphorically speaking. They contain sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth. Music of artists such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Cuck Berry and many other. Sounds made by surf, wind, thunder and animals like birds and whales...

Curious fact: Carl Sagan suggested that The Beatles song "Here Comes the Sun" be included on the record, but the record company EMI that held the copyrights to the song, declined due to copyright concerns.

Este es un Blog escrito en (inglés/español) dedicado a la astronomía.
